101 Things in 1001 Days Update #2

101 Things in 1001 Days Update #2

This is my third post on my 101 Things in 1001 Days journey. If you want to read what it’s all about and see my full list, then check out my original 101 Things in 1001 Days post. Since my first update, I’ve completed a nice chunk of my list and felt it was time for a second update. Here’s everything I’ve crossed off my list recently:

Start Date: January 13, 2019

End Date: October 10, 2021

Adulting

☑ Host a get together at my first apartment (Completed March 2020)

In March, before the lockdowns started happening, we had some friends over for a game night at our apartment. They brought a charcuterie board, we played games and it was a lot of fun!

Health & Beauty

☑ Whiten my teeth (Completed January 2020)

I had been wanting to try Crest Whitestrips for a while, so I had my mom get me some for Christmas and I finally tested them out.

☑ Go a week without using any heat on my hair (Completed March 2020)

With quarantine going on, what better way to cross this off my list than when I have to stay home. I went way longer than a week without putting any heat on my hair, so I’ve given my hair a much needed break.

☑ Go to a yoga class (Completed January 2020)

At the start of the new year, my work started offering free yoga classes once a week. I made it a habit to try to go weekly, up until the quarantine when classes got cancelled.

☑ Workout at least 3x per week for a month (Completed February 2020)

I made it a goal to be more active in 2020 and I did really well for the first two months. Now, that is another story. I hope to get back on track soon.

☑ Buy myself flowers (Completed April 2020)

I wanted to use some flowers as a photo prop for a spring photo, so I killed two birds with one stone on this one!

Art/Creativity

☑ Journal every day for a month (Completed February 2020)

I have a One Line a Day Journal that I have been using off and on for almost five years now. Since the beginning of the new year, I’ve made it a habit to try to write in it each night before bed. I’ve been doing well sticking to it so far!

☑ Write a letter to myself to open when the 1001 days are over (Completed January 2020)

This was an easy task that I kept putting off, but I finally sat down and wrote it. I’m over a year into the challenge, so I figured I’d better get to it.

Food

☑ Try 10 new Pinterest recipes (Completed January 2020)

I’ve been getting better about cooking meals for my boyfriend and myself, so we’ve tried well over 10 Pinterest recipes by now.

Travel

☑ Enjoy a staycation in the Indy/Louisville area (Completed March 2020)

I had a girl’s weekend in Bloomington with some friends at the beginning of March. It technically wasn’t Indy or Louisville, but I’ll still count it because the main thing I wanted to do was enjoy a staycation and that counts!

Blog

☑ Create an email list (Completed March 2020)

I set up a signup form so people could sign up for my email list. In case you missed it, you can sign up for my list here and receive notifications when a new blog post goes up and receive my e-newsletter once it launches.

☑ Create a Facebook page for my blog (Completed March 2020)

I’ve technically had the page created for a while, but I hadn’t shared anything to it. I’ve finally got some content on there now. You can view my Facebook page for my blog here.

☑ Create a downloadable freebie for my blog (Completed March 2020)

I made a declutter checklist to go with my 30-Day Minimalism Game post so people could sign up for my email list and get a free copy of the checklist.

☑ Do a complete website revamp (Completed May 2020)

If you’ve seen my blog before, then I’m sure you can tell things look a little different around here! I’m so happy with how it turned out!

☑ Reach an average of 100 readers per blog post (Completed April 2020)

I honestly didn’t realize I had checked this one off until I just looked up my stats and I’m very excited to have completed this one!

Completed since last update: 15

Total Complete: 40

Don’t forget to check out my other two blog posts on the 101 Things in 1001 Days challenge if you want to see everything on my list or get inspiration to start your own list. As always, you can sign up for a free account on Day Zero Project’s website to create your own.

I’m not quite to the halfway point of the deadline and I’m happy with what I’ve accomplished so far. I’d say 40 is a good amount of things checked off my list so far. But, I am starting to get worried that with the virus and events getting canceled I won’t be able to get some of the things on my list done by next year. I know that things happen that are out of our control, so I may either need to make some changes to those goals or just add them to the list for next time.

I’d love to hear if you are interested in creating your own list, or what things you would include on your list if you made one! Comment below and let me know!

Until next time,
